Team / Player is fully registered with the ASPL only after these terms are agreed to and the league fee has been paid.

The ASPL league fee is $2,000 per team or $199 per player and must be paid by the deadline of Saturday, July 1, 2023. Team / Player understands the fees will cover the costs of running the league. These costs include but are not limited to field rental fees, officiating fees, league administration, and ASPL game balls. Fees are non-refundable.

Team / Player understands there will be a 10 to 12 game season that will begin July 8 and run through September 23, 2003. All games to be played on Saturdays at Maple Athletic Complex, located at 4718 N 120th St, Omaha, NE 68164. The ASPL will create the league schedule and notify the teams.

Teams must maintain an amateur roster. Amateur eligibility, as defined by the ASPL, is any person who has earned less than $5,000 for playing any form of soccer since July 1, 2021. However, teams are allowed to have up to three former or part-time professional players on the roster at one time, who have earned $5,000 or more, AND have ten or less paid game appearances since July 1, 2021.

A player’s minimum age to be on the roster and participate in a league game is 18. The Team may have up to four players on the official roster at one time that are aged 35 years or older (on the day of the next game).

Teams may carry up to 20 players on their official roster at any time during the season. Each team must text or email their roster to division teams and the league office before the first game and anytime there is a roster change. Teams caught using players who were not on the roster at game time, or were ineligible for any reason, will forfeit those games.

Rules of the Game - The ASPL will follow the “generally accepted rules of the game”, except for a few modifications because of game length. A Player will “foul-out” of a game when they commit a combination of five violations (fouls and/or penalties). A Blue Card will result in a one-minute penalty where the offending player must serve 1:00 in the penalty box AND the team is a man short on the field during that time. A Yellow Card will result in a penalty where the offending player must serve 3:00 in the penalty box AND the team is a man short on the field during that time. Also, a one-point penalty-shot attempt will be given to the offended team. A Red Card will result in a dismissal from the game for the offending player AND the team is a man short on the field for three game minutes. Also, a one-point penalty-shot attempt will be given to the offended team.

The ASPL will use a Multi-Point Scoring System (MPS) with one point for successful penalty shots and shootout goals (used in game deciding situations), two points for field goals from within or on the three-point arc line, and three points for attempts made from outside the three-point arc line.

Uniform Regulations - Teams must have dark or colored home jerseys and white or light-colored away jerseys. Upon approval from the Commissioner, Teams may temporarily use practice jerseys or pinnies to supplement for a home or away jersey until uniforms are ready. New or existing teams have the option to either design and order their own uniforms or have uniforms custom designed by and provided by the league at a discounted cost.

Teams are required to wear the ASPL logo. The logos will be 3” x 2.25” iron-on decals that will be shipped to each Team and ironed-on about one-inch above the hem on the left sleeve (recommended) of their game jerseys.

Non-Disclosure Agreement - Team / Player may not disclose to any person, league or organization, any information that they become aware of regarding the inner workings, discussions, and organizational decisions of the ASPL, the ASL, or the ASI. If the ASPL ceases to exist and has not played a league game for ten consecutive years, this NDA would no longer be valid.

Non-Compete Clause - Team / Player may not be involved or associated with any organization starting a national or regional arena soccer league based on the ideas, information, plans, documents, strategy, etc., of the ASPL. Any existing and/or local arena leagues are exempt. If the ASPL ceases to exist and has not played a league game for ten consecutive years, this NCC would no longer be valid.

Team / Player understands that they should conduct themselves in a professional and sportsmanlike manner while at the gameday facility and on the field of play.

Waiver of Liability - Any player or other team member of an ASPL team who participates in a team-related activity including but not limited to training, tryouts, practices or games, is responsible for any injury, accident, damage to property or consequence that may occur, AND Team / Player must release the ASPL and the game-day facility, as
well as their associates and affiliates from any & all liabilities. This waiver stays in effect until the Team / Player is no longer affiliated with the ASPL.

Team / Player understands that if their team wins the Nebraska-Iowa Division, the team will be invited to play in the ASPL National Championship Tournament in October.

The participant(s) understands and acknowledges the inherent risks associated with the activities/events. The participant releases the organization, its representatives, its associates, and its affiliates from any and all claims or liabilities arising from participation in the activities/events. The participant(s) agrees to indemnify and hold the organization harmless from any and all claims brought against the organization, its representatives, its associates, and its affiliates.
